Microsoft Search: New Content source filters in All vertical

Microsoft Search will soon have content source filters in the All vertical for users with multiple content sources set up, including Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Viva Learning, and third-party sources indexed using Microsoft Graph Connectors. The rollout will begin in mid-March 2024 and is expected to be completed by late June 2024. No action is needed to prepare for this change, but users may want to notify their users and update relevant documentation. Customization of Graph Connector content sources is possible in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance: Reduce detect-to-investigation time from 24 hours to 1 hour for Viva Engage

Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance will release a feature that will reduce detection-to-investigation time from 24 hours to 1 hour for Microsoft Viva Engage private messages and community conversations. The feature will be available in public preview from mid-March 2024 to early April 2024. No action is needed to prepare for this rollout.

Outlook: Updated work hours and location experience in the new Outlook for Windows and web

This update brings a new look with the daily peek: click on your work location icon at the top of your calendar to change your work location, view who else will be in the office, or receive suggestions to help optimize your work day. This feature will come to the new Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web. Your work location will reflect across Microsoft 365, such as in Teams and your profile card. You can also update your location from Teams which will stay in sync with Outlook. We are also introducing a new location type, out-of-office, which will automatically sync with your out-of-office calendar appointments. #newoutlookforwindows

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Ability to Copy Rule

With this feature, admins will have capability to reuse existing rules and make slight edits instead of creating new rules from scratch every time. This will reduce a lot of manual re-work and boost their productivity.

Microsoft SharePoint Online: New feedback button

Microsoft SharePoint Online is introducing a feedback button for users to submit compliments, problems, or suggestions about SharePoint features and functionality. The feedback icon will be visible on SharePoint sites and Microsoft will review all feedback submitted by customers to improve products and troubleshoot product issues. Feedback collection is on by default, but can be turned off using the Cloud Policy service for Microsoft 365 in the Microsoft 365 Apps admin center. The rollout is expected to begin in mid-March 2024 for Targeted Release and mid-April 2024 for Worldwide.

Microsoft Viva Insights: We are pausing the Digest email

Microsoft Viva Insights will pause sending Digest emails to users starting April 1, 2024. Users can use the Viva Insights app in Teams and web or the Viva Insights Outlook add-in instead. Users should review and assess the impact on their organization and end-users, and update their documentation as appropriate.
