Changes in email alert notifications

We’re enhancing MDE alert notifications functionality. 

When will this happen:

May 15, 2021

How this will affect your organization:

Starting May 15, 2021, the sender email address will change from wdatpntf@microsoft.com to Defender-noreply@microsoft.com. If you have an allow-list rule to prevent notifications from reaching the spam/junk folder, please adjust the rule.

What you need to do to prepare:

Review allow-list rules and make changes as appropriate.
