Configuration of Private CDN is no longer required for SharePoint Online

We are pleased to announce that the configuration of Private CDN is no longer required. It is now automatically managed within the SharePoint online service.

When this will happen:

The change will start rolling out to customers starting early March 2023, and we expect to complete by end of March 2023.

How this will affect your organization:

There should be no impact to your organization. You no longer have to configure the private CDN for your SharePoint online environment. Public CDN should however be configured as recommended. Please contact Microsoft support should you have any further questions.

What you need to do to prepare:

You do not need to do anything to prepare for this change.
