Licensing updates for Compliance Manager premium assessments

As previously mentioned via in-product messaging and in our service description, we are updating licensing requirements for Compliance Manager premium assessments. This will impact your continued use of premium assessment templates.

When this will happen

Preview access to premium assessments will end February 28, 2021. A new Premium Assessments add-on SKU for Compliance Manager will be available as of March 1, 2021.

How this will affect your organization

The following out-of-the-box assessments are included in your license level, and you are still able to customize your assessment templates:

• Microsoft Data Protection Baseline
• European Union GDPR (Microsoft 365, Office 365, Intune)
• ISO 27001:2013
• NIST 800-53 Rev.4

If you are currently using premium assessment templates, you will need to transition to the updated licensing model to continue using these assessments. Please note that your current work will not be deleted.

• Review the list of standard and premium Compliance Manager assessment templates.
• Review the Microsoft 365 licensing guidance for Compliance Manager.
