Microsoft Copilot Studio – Control how agents are shared

We are announcing the ability to control how agents are shared in your tenant for Microsoft Copilot Studio. This feature will reach general availability on May 14, 2025.

How does this affect me?

This feature allows administrators to control how broadly agents in your tenant are shared by setting sharing limits that can be configured for an individual managed environment, and as a rule that can be applied to environment groups.

Sharing controls:

  • Allow or block makers from sharing their agents with individuals as Editors, who can edit, publish, share and chat with the bot.
  • Allow or block makers from sharing their agents with individuals or security groups as Viewers, who can only chat with the bot.
  • Block makers from sharing their agents with security groups.
  • Limit the number of individuals that makers can share their agents with as Viewers.

What do I need to do to prepare?

This message is for awareness and no action is required.

For additional information about these sharing limits, please review the Control how agents are shared article.
