OneDrive Image Edit – Filters

Users will soon be able to quickly stylize their photos in OneDrive by applying filters. With filters, users can adjust the “look” of their photos with one click without having knowledge of photo editing.

NOTE: Currently, only Jpeg and Jpg files are supported. The feature will support PNG files in the future.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 85625.

When this will happen:

We expect to roll this update out to Targeted Release customers in late October and expect the GA rollout to all customers to be completed in mid to late November.

How this will affect your organization:

Users will soon be able to quickly stylize their photos by applying filters. These filters can change the photo’s color and light settings (exposure, contrast, highlights, saturation…), as well as stylize your photos by adding color to shadows, mid-tones and highlights or simply turn a color photo into black and white.

What you need to do to prepare:

No specific actions are required by admins but you may want to update your documentation accordingly.
