Earlier this year we announced the grace period for several Microsoft Teams Premium features that were in preview, including live translated captions for meetings. Starting April 2023, a Teams Premium license is required to use this feature.
License enforcement will be enabled in July 2023. Once licensing enforcement is enabled, the only users who will be able to access live translated captions for meetings are:
Soon, end-users will be able to report messages from shared mailboxes and delegate mailboxes using the built-in Report button in Outlook on the web.
To refresh your memory, these screenshots show the Report buttons in Outlook on the web if you have the simplified ribbon turned on:
To help organizations manage hybrid work, users can set up their work hours and location (WHL) in Outlook on the web, specifying when they’ll be remote or in the office. They can also setup different working hours per day, or multiple work slots in a day. Additionally, if your organization uses Teams and a user sets up WHL, their location will also be shown in their Teams profile card.
The new WHL also impacts how “suggested times” work when creating a meeting event in Outlook on the web. Suggested times will take into account the WHL of the attendees before suggesting times when people are available.
Microsoft Teams admins will soon be able to search for and identify monetized Teams apps are eligible to contribute towards an organization’s Microsoft Azure consumption commitment (MACC) as well as view remaining unspent MACC for their organization.
As part of this feature, the “Manage apps” tab of the Teams admin center (TAC) will include a new category in the “Browse by” filter and add new visuals in the app cards. These changes provide parity with the Azure Portal in terms of ability to search and identify Teams apps with transactable SaaS offers that are eligible to contribute towards an organization’s Azure consumption commitment.
We are excited to announce that tenant isolation for Power Platform is now generally available (GA) in all clouds. Tenant isolation makes it easy for administrators to ensure that connectors used in apps and flows can be harnessed in a safe and secure way within the tenant, while minimizing the risk of data exfiltration outside the tenant.
Tenant isolation is generally available on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in all regions and clouds. The change removing the “preview” tag in Power Platform admin center is being deployed in all regions and will be available worldwide by Saturday, May 20, 2023.
Microsoft To Do will be the default task manager app for Outlook on the web. If you were using the tasks module in Outlook on the web, when this change happens you will see Microsoft To Do as your new task manager. This change gives users more features and tasks that sync across Microsoft 365.
Admins can create and manage learning academies in the Viva Learning Admin tab.
Microsoft Teams IT Admins will soon be able to block anonymous users from accessing the chat in internally hosted meetings by disabling their read access on top of the existing disabled write access. This release of Microsoft Teams updated meeting chat setting will be rolling out across Microsoft Teams Desktop, Mobile and Web and will provide an additional way for tenants to manage external users’ chat access in meetings hosted by internal users.

We have listened customer feedback on Outlook mobile needing to meet the mission of “On the Go” and for organizations to have mandatory labeling enabled without default labeling and would like to have the label selection first before going to compose the email. When the users click “Send”, the email could just be sent without any forgotten labeling pop ups. Outlook mobile will introduce a new MDM setting to allow admins to enable this louder mandatory configuration for Outlook mobile clients (iOS and Android) specifically. We will enable Android first in early Q1 of 2023, and iOS will release in Q2 of 2023.
This release will include supporting the new sensitivity bar below the subject line as well as support label colors.
