Power Apps License Request Flow

Beginning mid-March, we are improving the experience of managing self-service trials by providing admins with the ability to receive license requests from Power Apps users in your organization. Once a request is submitted by a user, you will see a notification on the Microsoft 365 admin center home page.

To access the license request page in the admin center, go to the Billing > Licenses page, then select the Requests tab. Multiple requests can be approved/rejected at once. When this will happen:

This will begin rolling out in mid-March and expect to complete by late March.

How this will affect your organization

Power Apps users will be able to submit a license request directly in-product and have that request routed to the admin in the Microsoft 365 admin center, centralizing license requests and simplifying management of the process.

The license request page will show license requests from users across your organization for eligible products.

What you need to do to prepare

Admins will be able to provide an optional custom message to users to follow your own request flow if one already exists or disable the license request flow. You will also maintain full control of approvals and denials for licenses.

As with other Microsoft 365 product trials, admins will also maintain control over self-service trials and purchases.

Guidance on enabling/disabling self-service trials can be found here.
