PSTN Service Desk email support transition
Beginning July 22, 2021 there will be a new process to interact with the PSTN service desk for your requests for phone number porting and phone number ordering support. You will now be able to open tickets, view tickets, and track communication in the brand new Phone Number Service Center portal that will be integrated with the Teams Admin Center!
Note: This transition has already been announced via outgoing emails on existing requests, and new requests submitted via email will receive a response pointing the requestor at the new process.
How this will affect your organization:
After July 22nd, if you need help with porting your existing phone numbers to Microsoft, or if you require help purchasing net new phone numbers from Microsoft, you will be able to do so from the Teams Admin Center by going to the Phone numbers page and clicking on the Get phone number support button.
- Any existing/ongoing requests that are open will continue to be supported via the current email process.
- Beginning July 22nd, all new requests for number porting and/or number ordering support will go through the new Phone Number Service Center portal.
What you need to do to prepare:
Please advise all administrators who request phone number porting or ordering support to begin to use the new process beginning on July 22, 2021.
