Teams Meeting Audio Overview

Introducing Meeting Audio Overview, an AI feature for Teams that captures and summarizes key topics from meeting transcriptions into audio summaries. It supports Windows, macOS, web, iOS, and Android. Rollout starts in June 2025, requiring a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. No administrative policy is needed.

Introducing the Meeting Audio Overview, a feature that uses AI to capture and summarize key topics discussed during your Teams meetings with an engaging audio output. It converts the selected meeting transcriptions into audio summaries, allowing users to quickly review highlights for multiple meetings, helping them focusing on the most relevant topics to stay up to date.

It is supported on Windows, macOS, web, iOS, and Android platforms.

When this will happen:

Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out early June 2025 and expect to complete by mid-June 2025.

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late June 2025 and expect to complete by mid-July 2025.

How this will affect your organization:

License requirement: To experience audio overview for Teams meetings, users must have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

There is no administrative policy required for this.

How to enables this:

Desktop:  audio overview is part of the Meet app on desktop clients, navigate to the “Meet” app by clicking on “More” on the left-hand side panel.

Click on the “Audio overview” tab on the top bar, select the desired time range, overview format and style, select meetings to start your generation

Mobile:

Access to meeting recap page, click on “Try it now” button for audio overview banner
