Update in Viva Insights Service Plan
Tenants with MyAnalytics (Full) or Insights by MyAnalytics service plans will see additional unassignable tenant-level service plans starting July 2025. This update aligns with security requirements. No action is required, and existing functionalities remain unchanged. Admins will notice these updates in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
Tenants who have either the MyAnalytics (Full) or Insights by MyAnalytics user-level service plans enabled will see additional tenant-level service plans that are displayed but cannot be assigned (greyed out). For both service plans – Microsoft MyAnalytics (Full) and Insights by MyAnalytics -the admin will be able to see both the unassignable tenant level plan as well as the assignable user-level service plans. The unassignable tenant-level service plan will ensure that existing MyAnalytics functionality continues to be complaint with security requirements while the assignable user-level plan will ensure that admins can flexibly assign the service plans.
When this will happen:
Starting early July 2025, we are updating the existing Service Plans Microsoft MyAnalytics (Full) and Insights by MyAnalytics. This change aligns the underlying service type identity with security classification requirements.
How this affects your organization:
You are receiving this message because one or more users in your organization might be assigned to the affected service plans. Nothing is changing for you in terms of SKUs or service plan capabilities, and no action is required from your end. However, administrators might notice the updated service plans in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
Existing opt-out and service plan disablements will continue to work. You can continue to assign or unassign user-level service plans as needed for your organization.
See the screenshot below for what a user-level service plan assignment would look like when the user is assigned both Microsoft MyAnalytics (Full) and Insights by MyAnalytics. The unassignable (greyed-out) service plans will always be visible.
What you need to do to prepare:
No configuration changes are needed. This update will be automatically rolled out to your tenants.
