Organizations using the Microsoft Bookings app in Teams for virtual visits can now collect information from attendees and be able to securely share it with the staff while maintaining industry specific compliance requirements (such as HIPAA). Microsoft Bookings app in Teams will be integrated with Microsoft 365 Forms to support end to end (Pre-visit) workflows for virtual visits.
Key Points
Microsoft Bookings Graph APIs are now available on the v1 endpoint. If you are using the beta APIs, we encourage you to update your applications to the v1 APIs as soon as possible. Unlike beta APIs, v1 APIs are considered production ready and receive support from Microsoft.

We are bringing a new release in “Teams Bookings” app which notifies the schedulers/users about the new features introduced in the app. A “New” pill and an “Info (icon)” tool tip have been added to help users discover our new features, SMS notifications and mobile browser join. For future new feature releases, end users will continue to see the “New” pill and “Info icon.”
Note: In order to view the “New” pills and “Info icon” tool tip for the new feature released select “Teams Bookings” app. The pills and the tool tip can be seen.
Bookings app in Teams enables various organizations to schedule virtual appointments with external attendees and manages staff availabilities in a shared calendar experience. We are now adding a new tab (preview) to your Bookings app called Queue. Queue tab will enable schedulers to have a consolidated view of all the appointments for a day in chronological order. This new tab will bring real time updates to meeting state in a queue view for virtual visits scheduled in the Microsoft Bookings app.
This feature will roll out to Microsoft Teams Desktop and Web app. Queue tab functionality is currently not supported in Bookings web app.
In US and Canada, Microsoft Bookings supports sending SMS notifications for appointment confirmations, reminders, and cancellations for including Teams meeting link for virtual appointments.
Microsoft Bookings is getting a new experience and users can start accessing the preview with a toggle on the top right that says Try the new Bookings. Once this toggle is turned on, users can see and try the new experience.
