Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android: The Dictation feature will retire in September 2024

The Dictation feature in Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android will be retired in September 2024. Organizations with users utilizing this feature should inform them and update documentation, as no admin action is needed for this change.

We will be retiring the Dictation feature from Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android starting early September 2024 and ending by late September 2024.

How this will affect your organization:

You are receiving this message because our reporting indicates one or more users in your organization are using this feature.

Users will no longer be able to select and use the Dictation microphone option from the compose toolbar in Outlook for iOS and Android when this change is implemented.

What you need to do to prepare:

This change will happen automatically by the specified date. No admin action is required. Please notify your users about this change and update relevant documentation.
