Power Platform – Move data across regions feature will be made available in more regions
Due to recent infrastructure updates, some Copilot features in environments based in Australia, India, and the United Kingdom may now process data outside of those regions. Please refer to this documentation for more information about which regions this data is processed in: Regions involved with copilots and generative AI features.
As a result, we are re-introducing the Move Data Across Regions setting in the Power Platform admin center. This feature will be made available in Australia, India, and the United Kingdom starting on December 2, 2024, and fully available by December 12, 2024, and will allow admins in these regions to opt out of this data movement.
How does this affect me?
This update will allow admins to opt out of the ability of Copilot features in environments based in Australia, India, and the United Kingdom to process data outside of those regions.
What do I need to do to prepare?
This message is for awareness and no action is required. If you want to disable generative AI features and copilots in your environments, you can do so after December 12, 2024, by following the steps in this documentation: Turn on copilots and generative AI features.
