Microsoft 365 Copilot in Forms: Users can reference files and forms to help generate drafts

Coming soon for Microsoft 365 Copilot in Forms: When creating a form with Copilot, users can reference existing documents such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint or existing forms. Referenced files are restricted to those with sensitivity labels of General or below.

A Microsoft 365 Copilot license is required to use this feature.

When this will happen:

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out mid-April 2025 and expect to complete by late April 2025.

How this will affect your organization:

After this rollout, users can use select the paper clip icon in Draft with Copilot to reference Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files when creating a new form, or can include a link to an existing form in the chat box.

This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to assess the impact on your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
