AI innovations grounded in transparency and control
IT management controls and policies are now available with the new AI features on Copilot+ PCs. Install the April 2025 Windows non-security update on eligible Copilot+ PCs to get access to Recall (preview), Click to Do (preview), and improved Windows search. The new features and policies are available to eligible Copilot+ PCs with the April 2025 Windows non-security update.
How this will affect your organization:
Recall (preview), Click to Do (preview), and improved Windows search can help your organization save time and be more productive on Copilot+ PCs. Built-in and IT-driven policy controls are available for these AI features on managed devices. This applies to you if you:
- Manage Windows updates on devices via Windows Update with Windows Autopatch or via Windows Server Update Services.
- Manage devices with an Enterprise (ENT) or Education (EDU) SKU or any premium SKU. Additionally, these devices must have a volume license key or are joined to a domain.
These change management controls can help you test, evaluate, and approve new pivotal functionality before rolling it out to your users.

Install the April 2025 Windows non-security update on your Copilot+ PCs.
To start using Recall (preview) today:
- Enable AllowRecallEnablement via Group Policy or CSP policy, such as in Settings Catalog in Microsoft Intune.
- Customize Recall (preview) for your users using policies to manage snapshots.
To start using Click to Do (preview) today:
- Enable AllowTemporaryEnterpriseFeatureControl via Group Policy or via your MDM solution.
- Use a new policy to manage Click to Do (preview) in your environment for Copilot+ PC users. Learn more about the DisableClickToDo policy.
To start using improved Windows search today:
- Enable AllowTemporaryEnterpriseFeatureControl via Group Policy or via your MDM solution.
- Review your existing search policies that manage which folders and file extensions are searchable or indexable. Improved Windows search will continue to respect these policies.
