Microsoft Purview | Data Security Posture Management for AI: Additional permissions for AI roles (preview)
New roles with additional permissions for accessing AI data in Microsoft Purview Data Security Posture Management will be available in mid-June 2025 (preview) and late July 2025 (general availability). A Purview license is required. Review and adjust user permissions accordingly. No admin action is needed before the rollout.

When this will happen:
Public Preview: We will begin rolling out mid-June 2025 and expect to complete by late June 2025.
General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late July 2025 and expect to complete by late July 2025.
How this will affect your organization:
Additional permissions will be added a view-only roles within Microsoft Purview Data Security Posture Management for AI that support least access privileges.
What you need to do to prepare:
After the new permissions release, review the permissions assigned to users and consider granting access to new roles.
This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to assess the impact on your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
