Dark mode support in SharePoint Admin Center

Dark mode support is coming to the SharePoint admin center, allowing admins to switch between light and dark themes starting mid-February 2026. This optional feature improves visual comfort without affecting settings or end users, requiring no preparation or compliance changes.

Introduction

To align with accessibility preferences and improve visual comfort for administrators, dark mode support is now coming to the SharePoint admin center. This update brings a consistent dark-themed experience similar to other Microsoft 365 admin portals.

When this will happen:

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): Rollout begins mid-February 2026 and is expected to complete by late February 2026.

  • A new dark mode option will become available in the SharePoint admin center.
