Microsoft Purview: New cmdlet for exporting Activity explorer logs (preview)

Coming soon to public preview, we’re introducing a new cmdlet option to enable export of all Activity explorer log data.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 93281.

When this will happen:

Rollout will begin in late July and is expected to be complete by mid-August.

How this will affect your organization:

Activity explorer in the Microsoft Purview compliance center provides a historical view of activities on your labeled content.

The Activity explorer Export feature has a limitation of 10,000 rows of data. This new feature will allow admins to use a cmdlet to export all rows of data for up to 30 days of historical activity.

As the cmdlet details and syntax are finalized, we’ll update this Message Center post with instructions for use.
