Microsoft Purview Information Protection: Extend sensitivity labels to meetings (GA)

Currently available in public preview (MC462922), sensitivity labeling will soon be generally available for meetings.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 102408.

When this will happen:

Rollout will begin in mid-February and is expected to be complete by early March.

How this will affect your organization:

With this update, admins will be able to extend sensitivity labels to Microsoft Outlook appointments, meeting invites in Microsoft Teams and Outlook, and Teams online meetings*. This enables admins to include labeled meetings in the scope of Information Protection policies.

*Note: Applying sensitivity labels to protect Teams online meetings requires Teams Premium licensing.
