Plan for Windows 10 EOS with Windows 11, Windows 365, and ESU

See your options to keep your organization and its data secure as Windows 10 is nearing end of support (EOS) on October 14, 2025. At that time, Microsoft will no longer provide bug fixes for issues, security fixes for vulnerabilities, time zone updates, or technical support for problems that might occur. To start modernizing your infrastructure now, upgrade eligible PCs to Windows 11, purchase new Windows 11 Pro PCs, or make Windows 11 available in the cloud through a Windows 365 subscription.

When will this happen:
  • October 14, 2025: Windows 10 will reach end of support. Extended Security Updates (ESUs) will become available at that time.
  • Windows 11 is available now for all eligible devices.
  • The Windows 365 subscription is available now as a cloud version of Windows 11.

How this will affect your organization:
If your organization has Windows 10 devices, these devices will run security risk and potential compliance violations as they reach end of support on October 14, 2025. To help keep your organization protected and productive, choose among several options to move Windows 10 devices to Windows 11 or receive Extended Security Updates (ESUs).

What you need to do to prepare:
Review what end of support means for Windows 10 and learn about different options to move to Windows 11, including cloud migration. Additionally, evaluate how Extended Security Updates might provide a temporary solution as you work on modernizing your endpoint estate.
