Office Scripts is an automation feature-set in Excel for the web. With this new feature, users will be able to save their scripts to a SharePoint site so that their team members can more easily collaborate, view, and run team-owned scripts on their Excel workbooks.
Argument assistance is a card that shows up when the user is writing a formula and accompanies the user during the arguments insert/edit. The Argument Assistance helps the user to be more efficient while writing formulas and reduces risk for errors, without needing to look for help in external resources. It includes descriptions of the formula and the different arguments, as well as an example. The relevant argument (according to caret’s position) will be highlighted for better orientation. The user can collapse the card and see only the top formula signature (like the tooltip today) in case he/she prefers not to hide much of the grid (we’ll save that preference).
The Queries Task Pane will allow to view the queries and query groups in the workbook and related details.
You can refresh Power Query queries that their data was imported from the current workbook.
Previously, Office scripts could be run via buttons by everyone with access to the workbook in Excel on the web. Now, you can run that same button on your windows client.
You can now open and edit files up to 100 MB from SharePoint in Excel for the web.
