Add people to a group chat from compose box via @ mention

Teams Chat is for fast-paced communication, and we want to ensure nothing gets in the way. Pull in via @mention provides a short cut to the add-dialog saving you time from realizing the person isn’t already in the chat and navigating (2-clicks) to the add-dialog manually.  Users can now add someone to a group chat directly from the compose box via @ mention.

Keep your Microsoft Teams desktop client compliant by updating regularly

Since Microsoft Teams is governed by the Modern Lifecycle Policy, the Teams desktop client needs to be up to date. The Teams client is updated approximately once per month. The client automatically installs updates when they become available to that client. Because we stagger the availability of updates worldwide, some clients in your organization might receive new updates before others.

It’s expected that users remain on the most up-to-date version of the desktop client. Users need to update regularly for users to remain supported on Teams. The regular updates by users ensure that they have the latest capabilities, performance enhancements, security, and service reliability.

Parent Connection allows teachers to communicate with the guardians of a student. To enable parent-teacher communication, admins can now choose either email or SMS as their preferred Parent Connection invitation channel. Sending messages in an SMS-heavy market makes it easier to connect with Parents while keeping teachers’ experience simple. These messages sent to parents and guardians will be in plain text, without HTML, formatting, or styles applied.
