Stream on SharePoint – Viewership Retention

Users will now be able to identify the key moments in a video using “Viewership Retention” chart. This chart is available for all ODSP videos from when the feature is turned on. You will be able to see the percentage of views, relative to the peak viewed moment in your video, across it’s duration

Microsoft Stream: Comment on a video or audio file in SharePoint and OneDrive

This feature builds on top of the already existing comments found in OneDrive and SharePoint Online but presents these comments with a new Office look and feel within the player. This feature allows users with view permissions to leave a comment and users with edit permissions to @ mention, which are both default changes in behavior in terms of permissions for video and audio files.

Microsoft Stream: Add chapters to help viewers find the right part of a video

Users with edit access to a video uploaded to SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Yammer can now add chapters to help viewers identify information in the video. For each chapter you can specify a point in time in the video and title of that chapter which will show up in the table of contents side pane for the video as well as on the video timeline.

Empty Recycle bin for Stream(Classic) video admins

The Stream administrator can now empty the admin center recycle bin in one go to free up storage. The admins have a choice to either purge the entire recycle bin or remove the files that they have put in the recycle bin.

Generate Captions On-Demand for Stream built on SharePoint

This new feature will enable users, with edit permission to a video stored in OneDrive for Business or a SharePoint document library, to generate a closed caption file in English. 

Any viewer of the video with a transcript will be able to display it as closed captions.

Microsoft Stream: Toggles for video and audio owners to manage feature settings on the new web player

This feature update will enable users to toggle features, such as transcripts and comments, on and off for all viewers in the web player. Audio and video files must be stored in OneDrive and SharePoint.
