Microsoft 365 Copilot: Researcher agent output formats

Microsoft 365 Copilot’s Researcher agent will add new export formats—PowerPoint, PDF, Infographic, and Audio overview—and improve existing Word and Pages export UX. The rollout starts February 2026, completes by December 2027, requires no admin action, and won’t impact current workflows.

Introduction

We’re adding new output formats to the Researcher agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot to give users more flexibility in how they create, share, and use AI‑generated research reports. Based on customer feedback, users will now be able to export Researcher reports to additional formats and benefit from an updated experience for existing options.
