Microsoft Defender for Office 365: New and Enhanced Evaluation experience

We are making changes to the Evaluation mode capabilities in Microsoft Defender for Office 365. With this change, all Exchange Online Protection and Defender for Office 365 customers can evaluate Defender for Office 365 policies such as Safe Links, Safe Attachments and Anti-phishing in monitor or audit mode. Integration with the trials experience ensures eligible customers get a taste of our advanced SecOps functionality for 90 days. You can review advanced threats history within Threat Protection Status report, easily filter out evaluation messages within Threat Explorer, analyze the details within email entity page and more.

When this will happen:

We will begin rolling this out in mid-April and expect to complete rollout by late April.

How this will affect your organization:

Tenant Admins can now opt in to the MDO Evaluation experience through trials hub, banner that they may see in security center home page.

What you need to do to prepare:

There are no pre-requisites for this Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Trials & Evaluation. All eligible tenants should be able to try it out
