Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Premium) Collections enhancements: Collect to Export

We’re enhancing the Collections experience in eDiscovery (Premium) to enable a streamlined process for exporting results.

When this will happen:

Preview: We will begin rolling out in late April and complete by late May.

Standard Release: We will begin rolling out in early June and complete by late June.

How this will affect your organization:

Now admins will be able to directly export a report or results of a Collection without adding to review set first. This will streamline processes for organizations who require ability to conduct analysis on item reports of relevant content and those who need to quickly get data from Microsoft 365 into the hands of auditors or regulators.  

What you need to do to prepare:

We recommend that you share this update with the eDiscovery administrators and managers in your organization so they can review the documentation and try out the new options for export item report and export results. Be sure to update relevant internal eDiscovery process guidance with these additions to help with assessment of collection results including partially indexed items and access to exports for time-sensitive situations.
