Microsoft Teams Premium: Configuration Change for Watermark

We are making some changes to Watermark Premium Policies for licensed Teams Premium users.

Users will soon have the ability to utilize watermarks on shared content and video feeds without the need to establish watermark policies via the Teams Admin Center or PowerShell.

When this will happen:

This update will begin rollout in mid-April and is expected to be complete by late April.

How this will affect your organization:

Teams Premium users will be able to utilize watermarks for their Teams meetings without the need to configure policies in the Teams Admin Center or PowerShell. The watermark function will be available within Teams Meeting Options as the policy will be default ON for the premium licensed user.

What you need to do to prepare:

IT administrators will retain the ability to modify policies within the Teams Admin Center. The change will not affect any prior policy assignments made.
