Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android: New local pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) controls
Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android will support local pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) controls starting late April 2025, with completion by early June 2025. Admins can enable or disable this feature, which will be on by default. No admin action is required before the rollout.

When this will happen:
General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out late April 2025 and expect to complete by early May 2025.
General Availability (GCC High): We will begin rolling out late May 2025 and expect to complete by early June 2025.
How this will affect your organization:
After this rollout, the local PTZ controls in the camera settings will pop up for users when the Enhanced framing toggle is set to off.
Admins will have the ability to turn this feature on or off in the admin settings for each Teams Rooms on Android device. This setting will be on by default.

This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to determine the impact for your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
