Microsoft Viva Engage Premium: New Benchmarks in Analytics

Coming soon in Viva Engage Premium: We will add a new 1-2 Benchmarks feature to the Analytics dashboard to show how your metrics perform in comparison to other customers that use Viva Engage. These benchmarks will be found on two new cards: Network activity and Audience activity.

When this will happen:

General Availability: We will begin rolling out mid-May 2024 and expect to complete by late May 2024.

How this will affect your organization:

For Network analytics, this percentile explains how engagement levels in your organization compare to similarly sized networks. Both network administrators and corporate communicators can find the Networks analytics benchmark on the Network activity card. Access from Viva Engage > Analytics > Network tab:

For Audience analytics, this percentile reveals how your engagement levels compare to all audiences in the same organization. Leaders, delegate managers, and delegates can find the Audience analytics benchmark on the Audience engagement card. Access from Viva Engage > Analytics > Audience tab:

What you need to do to prepare:

After the rollout, Benchmarks are off by default. Verified and network admins can turn Benchmarks on and off from the Viva Engage admin center:

  1. Go to the Viva Engage admin center.
  2. On the Setup Configuration tab in the left navigation, select Analytics and AI.

To enable Benchmarks for network analytics, go to Network Analytics and use the toggle to turn on Benchmarks. When this toggle is on, you can see how your engagement compares to other networks that use Viva Engage. Your network data may be included in our benchmark calculations with data from other similar-sized organizations for the purpose of comparison only.

Note: Benchmarks must be enabled on at least five networks to provide accurate percentiles in Network analytics. It may take some time for Benchmarks to be adopted in those networks across the world.

To enable Benchmarks for audience analytics, go to Audience analytics and use the toggle to turn on Benchmarks. When this toggle is on, you can see how your engagement compares to other leaders that use Viva Engage in the same organization. Your audiences’ data may be included in benchmark calculations for the purpose of comparison only.

This is a preview screenshot. We will change Engagement benchmarking to Benchmarks for the rollout:

What you need to do to prepare:

This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. You may want to notify your admins about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate.
