The new Outlook for Mac will connect to accounts using Microsoft sync technology for enhanced performance and reliability, with functionality that showcases the best of Outlook.
Note:The new Outlook for Mac experience became the default experience in our Beta and Preview channels, while still allowing users to toggle back to the legacy experience (Help > Revert to Legacy Outlook), if desired.
This new feature will enable users, with edit permission to a video stored in OneDrive for Business or a SharePoint document library, to generate a transcript in English to be displayed as closed captions or within the transcript pane.
Any viewer of the video with a transcript will be able to display it as closed captions or as a transcript.

A new report will be made available to help customers understand how Microsoft Visio is used within their organization.
After a year as an opt-in preview, the new Outlook for Mac will become the recommended default experience for new and current customers. Customers will still be able to switch between the new and classic experience in the Help menu.

Walkie Talkie on iOS is now General Available.
With Walkie Talkie in Teams, employees can now securely communicate with a familiar push-to-talk (PTT) experience without needing to carry bulky radios. This native built-in app in Teams turns employee or company-owned iOS smartphones and tablets into a walkie-talkie, reducing the number of devices employees must carry and lowering costs for IT.
For a better hybrid meeting experience, Teams users on their iPhone can use a single tap to join a meeting on both their device and Microsoft Teams Room. Audio on their device will be automatically turned off to ensure echo doesn’t happen. Furthermore, the landing experience on the iPhone will be optimized for engagement activities to make it easier to raise hand or react, chat, and see all participants.

Communication Compliance integration with Power Automate allows organizations to configure Power Automate flows to automate tasks for Communication Compliance cases and users. Currently available in public preview.
We are consolidating all the add-ins into a flyout menu in the ribbon and adding Teams search-based message extensions into this same flyout.
OneDrive’s Finder integration is getting an update in macOS 12.1 Monterey based on Apple’s new File Provider platform. With this update, the OneDrive folder will be visible under Locations in the Finder sidebar, providing easy and quick access to all your OneDrive files. Additionally, we will also be updating the Files On-Demand experience and this update will also render a seamless OneDrive experience that feels native on the latest version of macOS.
Note: OneDrive Files On-Demand, which is enabled by default, helps you view and access all your files, individual or shared, without having to download them and use device storage.
