Phasing out the Conversation Starters Feature from Engage

Starting May 5th, 2025, the Conversation Starters feature will be phased out from Engage due to low usage and feedback. The change will be complete by early June 2025, with no major impact expected. No admin action is required, but users should be informed and documentation updated.

Starting May 5th, 2025, we will begin phasing out the Conversation Starters feature from Engage. This includes all types of Conversation Starter cards—community-specific, campaign-specific, and broad network prompts.

This decision is based on valuable feedback indicating that the feature was not widely used. Our learnings also show that while the original intent was to spark participation, the prompts often fell short of that goal. In many cases, they occupied prominent space on feeds and unintentionally diverted attention from content creation—the primary driver of a healthy network.

No action is required on your part. We remain committed to enhancing Engage based on your insights and continuously improving your experience!

How this will affect your organization:

There should be no major impact to your organization. We will gradually roll out this change to all premium customers starting May 2025, and we expect to complete by early June 2025.
