Planned Maintenance: Windows Autopatch configuration update – September 2023
As part of our routine device management services, we will deploy the next update of the Windows Autopatch baseline (version 2309) to your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) organization (tenant).
When will this happen:
We expect to start deployment on October 9th, 2023, and plan for its completion by late October 2023, per the following schedule:
- Test ring: October 9th, 2023
- First ring: October 11th, 2023
- Fast ring: October 16th, 2023
- Broad ring: October 23rd, 2023
How does this affect your organization:
We are updating the baseline configuration and will deploy to your service-based deployment rings (Test and progress through to the First, Fast, and Broad) as described in Windows Autopatch groups.
To monitor this and other deployment statuses, visit the Microsoft Intune admin center.
Summary of changes:
Improved the Modern Workplace – Autopatch Client Setup script.
- This script installs the necessary client components to use the Windows Autopatch service.
- Added improvements to how we validate Windows Update configurations that could affect the Microsoft Managed Desktop service.
What you need to do to prepare:
No action is required. If you have any questions or concerns, or need assistance, file a service request by visiting the Support section of the Microsoft Intune admin center.
Note: If you have modified the target version of Window Autopatch’s feature update policies, your changes will be overwritten by this change.
