Power Platform admin center – Information about automatic deletion of inactive default environments

Starting in April 2025, we are introducing an automated process to delete inactive default environments.

How does this affect me?

  • Default environments without premium licenses will be impacted by this process.
  • Environments with M365 Agents or Planner activity will be out of scope.
  • Admins will receive two notifications prior to the default environment being deleted for inactivity.
  • Inactive default environments will be deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
  • Any activity in the default environment within 30 days of the notifications will reset the inactivity period.
  • When an inactive default environment is deleted, a new replacement default environment will be created without Dataverse, with an option to add Dataverse later.
  • Deleted default environments may be recovered within 7 days.
