Microsoft Viva Glint: Use Microsoft 365 admin center to assign your organization’s Viva Glint admins

An organization’s Global Admin is set by default as the Microsoft Viva Glint Admin, but they likely are not the ones using the platform. They need the ability to assign the correct person as their organization’s Viva Glint Admin and remove themselves.

Viva Glint (Service) administrators can now be assigned through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (MAC) in addition to being able to setup within the Viva Glint product. There will not be changes to existing user roles.

Reminder: Changes coming to Windows Boot Manager revocations for Secure Boot, April 9, 2024

Administrators should observe mitigations and security enforcement requirements coming into effect with Windows updates released on and after April 9, 2024. Devices running Windows updates released July 11, 2023 or later include security measures designed to protect vulnerable boot managers against a Secure Boot bypass vulnerability disclosed in CVE-2023-24932. Secure Boot is a Windows security feature designed to protect devices from bootkit malware.

Suspension of Azure Application Administrator role for Management of add-ins across Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Admins can manage add-ins across Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint from the Integrated Apps blade in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. This capability is currently available to Global Administrators, Global Readers, Exchange Administrators, and Azure Application Administrators.
