Planned Maintenance: Viva Goals
We have maintenance planned for Viva Goals:
Microsoft Defender for Identity reports will be moved to a new location in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal. They can be found under Identities in the Reports area on the main menu in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal.

Currently, there are two customization controls in the Viva Pulse In-App Admin Experience. The ‘Stock Questions’ control allows employees to edit stock questions. The ‘New questions’ control allows employees to create their own questions. In the upcoming release, we will be merging the two controls into one customization control.
This one control, when turned ON, will allow employees to edit stock questions and add their own questions in the Pulse survey. All customization capabilities will be turned ON when this control is ON, and all customization capabilities will be turned OFF when this control is OFF.
We’ve released updates to the following update channel for Microsoft 365 Apps:
On a touch-enabled device, add a canvas to your message and draw with your finger, a digital pen, or a mouse in Outlook. Select from different pen styles and edit your drawing to freely express yourself.

Currently in Viva Goals, while you can set up phased targets (ability to shape the expected progress curve) at the level of the child key result, the targets do not roll up to the parent key result or objective. This has caused confusion to both the child and the parent objective owners resulting in incorrect progress and status calculations and incorrect depictions of the expected progress values in the progress graphs.
With this release, if the child key result has phased targets, then the targets are rolled up from the children to the parent. If there is more than one key result, then the expected progress is rolled up based on the contribution of the key result to the parent.
From the sensitivity menu, owners of Office files protected with a sensitivity label can access the Microsoft Purview compliance portal to view user access attempts and revoke access if needed.
When this will happen:
When a sensitivity label is used to encrypt an Office file, it is automatically registered for tracking, and previously label-protected Office files are registered the next time they are opened in an updated client. This only applies to local files. Compliance administrators can track and revoke access to registered Office files.

While Python in Excel is in Public Preview, users in your organization with access to the Microsoft 365 Insiders program Beta Channel will be able to use this feature as part of their subscription. Once the feature becomes generally available, an additional Python in Excel license will be required to use the feature.
