Outlook for Android will require Android 8.0 or above starting May 23, 2022

Beginning May 23, 2022, Outlook for Android will no longer support Android 7.1 or below. Users will need to upgrade their Android operating system to Android 8.0

Add-in health view being added to the Microsoft 365 Apps health dashboard

A new view focused on add-in health is being added to the Microsoft 365 Apps health dashboard in the Microsoft 365 Apps admin center. The view will provide information about the reliability and performance of Component Object Model (COM) and Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) add-ins used by Office apps in your organization.

Upcoming Microsoft Defender for Endpoint package (Mac) will include Python 3

On Feb 18th, Apple will be retiring Python version 2.7 and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint package (MDE) (Mac) will include Python 3.

  • When macOS 12.3 rolls out, Python will no longer be pre-installed on macOS by default.

Configuration Change – Defender for Cloud Apps: Threat protection built in discovery anomaly detection

Defender for Cloud Apps is reassessing our built-in threat protection policies. On March 27, two of these policies (Cloud Discovery anomaly detection and Data exfiltration to an app that is not sanctioned) will be turned off by default for all tenants.

Note: After March 27, if you wish to not follow the recommended default setting, you will still be able to turn these policies on from the policies section in the portal, as well as continue reviewing the relevant data in the Discovery section.
