Outlook for iOS and Android is introducing a new setting for automatically advancing to the next email after actions like delete or archive, instead of going back to the message list. Rollout begins mid-August 2024 for iOS and late October 2024 for Android. Users must enable this feature in Settings.
Microsoft is introducing an ‘Admin-Controlled Migration to New Outlook’ policy, enabling IT admins to migrate users from classic to new Outlook for Windows. The migration involves three steps, with prompts and messages guiding users through the process. The policy includes settings for re-initiating migration if users revert to classic Outlook.
Outlook for iOS will soon require iOS 17 as the minimum system requirement, dropping support for iOS 16 once iOS 18 is released. Users on iOS 16 will not receive updates and may eventually lose synchronization capabilities. It’s recommended to update devices and inform users about these changes.
