Customizable dashboard in Teams admin center

Teams admin center is adding support for customization of the widgets in the dashboard. Administrators can now personalize the dashboard widgets as per their preference. They can reorder the widgets and pin them at a position they would like to see. For widgets that are not being used frequently, Teams admin center now gives the flexibility to hide them from the dashboard.

The widgets are now optimized for smaller screens too.

Microsoft Teams Real-Time Analytics – Extended Telemetry Preview

Microsoft Teams: Camera On/Off feature

Beginning July 2022, any certified Teams Peripherals supporting the Camera On/Off feature will allow a user to more efficiently turn on or off their Video during a call or meeting. Instead of fumbling with your mouse or keypad to bring up the Meeting Stage and then press the Video icon, a simple click of a button will allow the user to quickly control their video state.

Language Interpretation in Microsoft Teams

Language interpretation will allow professional language interpreters to translate what the speaker says into another language in real time without disrupting the original flow of delivery of the speaker. This will allow more inclusive and efficient meetings, where participants who may not speak the same language can fully collaborate with each other without waiting for an interpreter to repeat what was said after the fact.

Collaborate easily in Teams with our new Excel Live feature. You can easily collaborate with all meeting participants on your Excel worksheet during the meeting. Select the file you want to share, grant permissions to meeting participants, and enable all meeting participants to edit the document right from the meeting window.

Viva Engage, replacing Yammer Communities app for Teams

At Microsoft Inspire, Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO, announced Microsoft Viva Engage, the newest app in Microsoft Viva, designed to help people and teams to be their best, have a voice, and feel included in the workplace. Viva Engage brings people together across the organization to connect with leaders and coworkers, find answers to questions, share their unique story, and find belonging at work. Viva Engage builds on Yammer, and brings together Yammer’s experiences—communities, open conversations, and personalized discovery—with new capabilities for self-expression and sharing through storyline and stories, and upcoming innovations.

Ability to manage third-party app subscriptions from Teams Admin

We will soon enable a centralized location in both Teams Admin Center and the Teams app store, where admins and end-users can view and manage all the third-party app subscriptions they’ve purchased. This update improves the existing subscription management flow and makes it easier and more intuitive.
