In the Shifts app, we are rolling out the ability for frontline manager to control additional functionalities through our Shifts settings page. Frontline managers will gain the ability to enable and disable swap shift request, offer shift request and/or time off requests for their teams.

Microsoft Teams: Archive channels

With Archive Channels, owners and administrators can archive channels that are no longer in use while preserving their content, including messages, files, and tabs. The archived channel is removed from the active teams and channels list and no more actions will be allowed. If needed, the channel can be restored.

Microsoft Teams: Automatically view up to 9 videos (3×3) in Teams meetings in Chrome and Edge

Microsoft Teams Meetings currently supports a maximum of 4 videos (2×2) on the screen by default (i.e., Gallery view) on web browsers. With this update, users will be able to automatically see up to 9 videos (3×3) on Chrome and Edge on their screen by default without an explicit action.

Analytics Insights for Virtual Appointments in Microsoft Teams

Tenant admins can see updated virtual appointment analytics with new insights in Teams to help driving business outcomes, including average lobby wait times for scheduled vs. on-demand appointments, percentage of appointments completed after scheduled end time, and percentage of appointments with a late start.

Microsoft Teams: Meeting “Recording & Transcription” tab will be replaced by “Recap” tab

Now, the “Recap” tab for scheduled meetings will include access to the recording and transcript.  For meetings that have a “Recap” tab, the previous “Recording & Transcription” tab will be removed since the “Recap” tab will replace it.

For meetings that don’t have a “Recap” tab, users can continue to access the recording and transcript from the “Recording & Transcription” tab.

Microsoft Teams: Forward Messages in Teams Chats

With the forward message feature, Microsoft Teams users will soon be able to send chat messages from one chat to another. Messages can be forwarded to 1:1 chats, group chats and meeting chats. This feature will also allow the sender to add additional content to the message in order to provide context and clarity to the recipient. This feature will be rolling out across Microsoft Teams Desktop, Web and Mobile.

Microsoft Teams: New Microsoft Teams store now available in GCCH and DOD

Users in GCCH and DOD environment can now experience the newly redesigned Teams store
including adding apps for personal use, getting intelligent recommendations – like featured apps, popular apps amongst your colleagues, etc., receiving editorial articles that address common scenarios from apps to get started in Teams to those best for educators, searching apps faster and easier with updated app categories. They can also use “Manage your apps” to update, remove,
share or “get more apps”.

Microsoft Teams: Teachers can (manually) update parent data in Parent App

Allow teachers to add and edit existing parent data inside the Parent app. This request to update parent information can be directly made by teachers inside the Parent app. Once the request is raised, it needs an admin approval before updating the parent information in the app.
