Microsoft Teams: Enabling Cloud IntelliFrame for Teams Rooms in the new Microsoft Teams app

Online meeting participants will now be able to experience a meeting with Cloud IntelliFrame in the new Microsoft Teams app.

With Cloud IntelliFrame, in-room participants appear similar to remote attendees, creating an immersive and engaging experience for everyone. Whether working from home or in the office, participants can gather more context about the physical shared space and are able to see every facial expression and cue, just as if they were there in person. Cloud IntelliFrame is only available with a Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro license.

Microsoft Teams Live Event Retirement

Introducing Microsoft Teams Town hall

To simplify the virtual event experience on Teams, we are integrating our live event capabilities into our Teams meeting experience. This will create a unified experience for users whether they are hosting a small meeting, customer-facing webinar, or company-wide town hall. As a part of this integration, we are introducing Town halls in Microsoft Teams, a new experience to host and deliver large-scale, internal events to create connections across an organization. Town halls will provide a one-to-many format with advanced production capabilities and a structured approach for attendee engagement. With town halls, customers can host various types of internal as well as external events including company-wide town halls, all hands, global team meetings, internal broadcasts, fireside chats, and more.

Microsoft Teams: Teams Panels recognized and visible in Teams Rooms Pro Management

Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management will now support Teams Panels. Teams Panels will appear under Inventory and Rooms. If a Panel is sharing a resource account with a Teams Room or Surface Hub, the Panel will appear in the Inventory list for the room. The Admin capabilities for panels include viewing the health status, app version, firmware version, and serial number of the device. Admins can also record an issue, remotely restart, apply config profiles, create groups, and add rooms with Teams panels.

Microsoft Teams: Scheduling improvements in Shifts app

In the Shifts app, people count, and full names, will show in the calendar view. The most recent
filter settings will be saved automatically. Managers will be able to add inline notes in the day view, and notes can also be added using the Graph API.
