The June 2024 Windows security update is now available

The June 2024 security update is now available for Windows 11 and all supported versions of Windows 10. We recommend that you install these updates promptly. Highlights for the Windows 11, versions 23H2 and 22H2 update: 
  • This security update includes improvements that were a part of update KB5037853 (released May 28, 2024). 
  • This update addresses a known issue that affects the taskbar. It might briefly glitch or not respond. It might also disappear and reappear.
  • This update addresses an issue that affects lsass.exe. It stops responding. This occurs after you install the April 2024 security updates on Windows servers.
  • This update addresses an issue that might stop your system from resuming from hibernate. This occurs after you turn on BitLocker.  
  • This update addresses an issue that affects lsass.exe. It leaks memory. This occurs during a Local Security Authority (Domain Policy) Remote Protocol (LSARPC) call.

REMINDER The June 2024 security update is the last security release for Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise editions of Windows 10, version 21H2. Windows 10, version 22H2, will be the final version of Windows 10, and all editions will remain in support with monthly security updates through October 14, 2025. Enterprise and IoT Enterprise LTSB/LTSC editions of version 21H2 will continue to have mainstream support until January 12, 2027.
