Update reminder: Headspace mindfulness content in Microsoft Viva Insights is here

As stated in April of this year (MC243209), additional updates are being delivered with this app update. The Microsoft Viva Insights app in Teams will introduce a curated set of guided meditations and focus music from Headspace. This will be accessible via the app Home page to help users start their day grounded, relax their mind before a big meeting, or find focus before starting an important project.

The feature will initially only be available to those users who have English as their default Teams language.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 68748.

When this will happen

We will begin rolling this out in late June and expect to complete rollout late July.

How this will affect your organization

The Viva Insights app in Teams will introduce a curated set of guided meditations and focus music from Headspace to enable users to disconnect from work in the evening, relax their mind before a big meeting, or find focus before starting an important project.

A Headspace meditation to mindfully wrap up the day will also be integrated into the virtual commute. In just a few minutes a day, meditation and mindfulness with Headspace can help users lower stress, increase focus and ease teamwork.

Requirement: Only users with provisioned Exchange Online mailboxes can access features within the Viva Insights app in Teams

This is rolling out default on and, unless disabled by admin, the curated set of Headspace mindfulness content will be available to any user with the Viva Insights app installed.

What you need to do to prepare

Review and assess the impact for your organization and you might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.

Note: To disable (admin control) the Headspace feature for select users, use the PowerShell cmdlets VivaInsightsSettings with feature name as Headspace.
