Viva Glint: Teams notifications now support user language preferences

Viva Glint notifications in Microsoft Teams will now appear in each user’s configured language instead of the tenant default, starting mid-February 2026. This change requires no admin action; users should ensure their Viva Glint dashboard language is set correctly for proper localization.

Introduction

We are introducing an update that improves localization for Viva Glint notifications in Microsoft Teams. With this change, Teams notifications generated by Viva Glint will automatically appear in each user’s configured Teams language instead of the tenant’s default language. This enhancement provides a more consistent and localized experience for global users.

When this will happen

General Availability (Production, GCC): We will begin rolling out in mid-February 2026 and expect to complete by late February 2026.

How this will affect your organization

Who is affected: All Viva Glint users who receive notification messages in Microsoft Teams.

What will happen:

  • If a user’s Viva Glint language is not supported, notifications will appear in a supported fallback language.
  • No admin configuration is required; this update applies automatically.
