You can now stay muted to avoid unwanted background noise during a meeting and rapidly respond when called upon. You can now use a shortcut to unmute while holding down the keys Ctrl+Space (Windows) and Option+Space (macOS), then release keys to go back to muted state again. The feature is supported only on Teams Desktop.

Microsoft Teams rooms on Windows now support Azure Active directory conditional access support. Admins can configure Teams rooms device’s access to Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Exchange online services based on device compliance status. In addition, to make it simpler for our customers, Azure Active Directory Premium 1 license is added to the Room System Standard and Room System Premium and variations of these SKUs for education, government customers. Detailed documentation on how to configure Teams rooms on Windows to use AAD conditional access feature will be published to give IT admins head start for configuring it.
Teams Rooms on Windows are making an alignment for calling experience to Teams desktop replacing Dial pad control on the Teams room console with Call. Calling app provides users functionality to dial PSTN calls where available as well as enable entry point for P2P Teams calls, group Teams calls and P2P federated user calls. This change is only applicable if the Teams rooms is running in Microsoft Teams only or Microsoft Teams (default) and Skype for Business modes.
With this change, all P2P calling and group calling functionality that was previously under New meeting button is moved under Call. For customers that use SIP URI calling through Skype for Business, Enter SIP URI entry point is available in Microsoft Teams (default) and Skype for Business mode.
Teams Rooms on Windows are making an alignment for Meet now experience to Teams desktop replacing New meeting control on the Teams room console with Meet (aka Meet now). With Meet, users can start an ad-hoc meeting with a single tap and invite participants to it. This change is only applicable if the Teams rooms is running in Microsoft Teams only or Microsoft Teams (default) and Skype for Business modes. With this change, all P2P calling and group calling functionality is moved under calling application.
