Important Information about your Microsoft Power Platform admin center service

Starting in January 2023, administrators will be able to restrict environment creation for Developer environments through Power Platform admin center. Previously, the only way to restrict environment creation was through PowerShell.

Announcing Public preview of permanent deletion of users in Power Platform

We are pleased to announce that you can now delete and remove users with a disabled status in Power Platform. The rollout of this feature preview has already begun and is expected to be available globally by the end of December 2022.

Attention required: New Power Platform URLs used by Power Apps and Power Platform admin center

Microsoft Power Platform will begin relying on a new cloud service dependency called Power Platform API. This is updated in our documentation available at Power Platform URLs and IP address ranges.

The Power Apps End-user and Maker experiences, as well as Power Platform admin center experiences, will leverage this new API internally, as will more Power Platform experiences over time.

[Update] jQuery 2.1.1 retirement in Microsoft Power Apps service

As part of a recent service update designed to improve security within Microsoft Power Apps, we recently upgraded jQuery from 2.1.1 to version 3.6.0, which made jquery-2.1.1.min.js unavailable within your environment. We have restored jquery-2.1.1.min.js for use in your environment on Friday, October 21, 2022, and have temporarily postponed its retirement until October 2023.

How does this affect me?

We have detected that your environment is utilizing our jQuery static resource endpoint. This update should unblock scripts and files that utilized hardcoded links to the previous jQuery version and were affected by this recent change.

Important changes to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform predefined and imported Solution security role updates

We have made a change to predefined and imported Solution security role updates within the Power Platform. Power Platform administrators are now able to update predefined Dataverse security roles’ privileges or imported Solution security role’s privileges, and these updates will not be reverted to system settings during subsequent system/solution updates. This change allows for use of the system’s predefined security roles, such as Environment Maker and Basic User, which can be customized based on business needs. Updated predefined security roles can be reset to the default system settings by removing all the updates.

Customer Lockbox for Microsoft Power Platform is now available for Public Preview!

We are announcing the Public Preview of Customer Lockbox for Microsoft Power Platform, which provides a new set of capabilities to help you govern Microsoft access to your data. Public Preview is available in all regions with the exception of Korea (KOR) and Norway (NO). Once these regions are enabled this message will be updated.

Introducing Power Platform admin center Home page

We are introducing a new landing page to the Power Platform admin center. Rather than the default environments tab, which displays the list of owned environments, admins will be greeted with the newly introduced Home page.

This new landing page experience for Power Platform admin center is aligned with admin experiences across other Microsoft services.
