Microsoft Power Platform will be displayed as the modifier of files and items in SharePoint when modified by Power Automate flow or Power App. Users should inform site owners of the change in display.

Microsoft SharePoint: Add approvals to any SharePoint list

Microsoft SharePoint is expanding Approvals to any list, allowing users to configure Approvals by going to the Automate dropdown from the command bar in SharePoint Online lists or in the Microsoft Lists app. The rollout will begin in mid-April 2024 for Targeted Release and early May for General Availability, with completion expected by early May and mid-June, respectively. Users can manually add approvals columns back into views at any time. Organizations should inform their users of the new functionality and include the Microsoft Support link in their end-user documentation and support process.

Premium Viva Engage: New Copilot and AI Summarization

Microsoft Viva Engage is introducing Copilot and AI-powered Summarization in late April 2024 for all users with a premium Viva Engage license. Copilot provides personalized suggestions for what to post on Engage and offers collaboration on writing Engage posts. Copilot suggestions are powered by AI Summarization, which produces LLM-generated summaries of Engage posts. Admins can use the Viva Feature Access Management platform to control the availability of Copilot and AI Summarization in premium Viva Engage for the entire tenant and for select users and groups. No admin action is required to make Copilot available for use.

Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management: Public preview of policy deletion enhancement

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management will soon have a policy deletion enhancement allowing admins to delete all associated alerts and users in scope when deleting a policy. No action is needed to enable this feature. The update will roll out mid-May 2024 to mid-June 2024 for public preview and mid-July 2024 to late July 2024 for general availability worldwide. Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management: New Microsoft Fabric risk indicators

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management is expanding its detections to Microsoft Fabric, with ready-to-use indicators based on user activities in Power BI. This update extends its risk detection capabilities to Microsoft Fabric products by offering ready-to-use risk indicators based on activities that may lead to a data security incident in Power BI. Insider Risk admins with appropriate permissions can opt into these new indicators in the new Microsoft Purview portal or in the Purview compliance portal at Insider Risk Management settings. The update will begin rolling out early April 2024 and expect to complete by late October 2024.

Microsoft Teams: Queues app (Premium)

The new Queues app is a solution for collaboratively handling customer calls natively in Teams. Starting with surfacing call queue calls, your team members can use the Queues app to handle inbound calls, be it PSTN or VOIP. They can make outbound calls on behalf of the call queues or auto attendant that they are assigned to. And they can review the call queue statistics and seamlessly collaborate with their lead and colleagues within the flow of work. Authorized users, with permissions from Teams admins, can monitor their call queues and auto attendants in realtime, generate reports on queue and agent performance, configure their call queues and auto attendants using Teams settings, and opt in or out their team members to optimize for business needs. This is a Teams Premium feature.
