Learning Activities is now available in Microsoft 365 Education and Copilot, enabling educators and students to create interactive practice tools like flashcards from existing content. It rolled out worldwide by December 2025, is enabled by default for eligible licenses, and can be disabled by admins if desired.
Microsoft Purview will map certain admin roles to new Microsoft Entra roles to enhance security and synchronize permissions automatically by March 2026. High-privileged Purview roles will correspond to three Entra roles, with no customer action needed. Do not assign these roles directly in Entra.
Microsoft Purview Data Security Investigations will add a new purge mitigation action by early 2026, allowing admins to delete sensitive or overshared content during investigations. Enabled by default, it respects existing policies and requires no prior admin action. Security teams should be informed and documentation updated accordingly.
Nine new Microsoft 365 Copilot connectors are now generally available, enabling integration with GitHub, Freshservice, Guru, Dropbox, Google Drive, Zendesk, and Amazon S3. SharePoint admins can customize emails sent from Data Access Governance reports for site access reviews starting mid-December 2025. New Outlook for Windows will support Wait on Send for Data Loss Prevention, blocking email sending until DLP evaluation completes or timeout occurs. This feature is disabled by default and controlled via Exchange mailbox settings, allowing users to multitask during evaluation with configurable override timing. Available early 2026.
We are announcing the ability to evaluate closed conversations, generate quality scores, and provide insights to help supervisors improve interaction quality in Dynamics 365 Contact Center. This feature will reach general availability on January 16, 2026.
Starting early December 2025, admins can opt-in to a unified interface with new PowerShell Graph commands to migrate Exchange mailboxes, OneDrive files, and Teams chats across Microsoft 365 tenants, simplifying tenant-to-tenant migrations during organizational changes. No action is required unless used.
Microsoft Purview Endpoint DLP will support scoping policies to specific macOS devices or device groups starting late December 2025. This allows admins more granular control without changing existing policies unless configured. Requires tenant version 101.25072 or higher. No compliance issues identified.
