Microsoft Teams will enable Channel Agent to orchestrate tasks with GitHub, Asana, and Jira via Model Context Protocol (MCP), improving workflow efficiency within Teams. This preview feature requires admin enablement and a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, rolling out worldwide from mid-November to mid-December 2025.
Outlook mobile users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license on Android and iOS can prepare for meetings using Copilot chat, available by late November 2025. The feature is on by default, requires no admin setup, and uses AI to provide personalized meeting information while respecting existing policies.

Microsoft Teams Store is being redesigned for a more intuitive app and agent discovery experience, rolling out worldwide from late October 2025 to January 2026. Microsoft Defender Application Guard for Office, retired in April 2024, will be removed from Office by December 2027. Files will open in Protected View instead. Admins should enable Microsoft Defender for Endpoint ASR rules and Windows Defender Application Control to maintain security. No admin action is required for removal.
Microsoft Places will retire the “favorite contacts” feature in early December 2025, replacing it with a “frequent contacts” system aligned with other Microsoft 365 apps. Users and admins will lose related controls, and no action is needed; organizations should update documentation and inform users.
Microsoft Viva Amplify is launching a new publishing stack by late 2025, replacing the legacy system with faster, parallelized publishing (~16 seconds) and improved error handling. The update enhances reliability across SharePoint, Viva Engage, Outlook, and Teams, is on by default, and requires no admin action.
Microsoft SharePoint’s eSignature feature, allowing electronic signatures on Word and PDF documents within SharePoint, will roll out in Türkiye from mid to late November 2025.
