Insider Risk Management- Multi selectable DLP policies as an IRM triggering event

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management will allow selecting multiple DLP policies as triggering events, enhancing flexibility and risk detection. Public preview starts late August 2025; general availability in December 2025. No action required, but admins can improve policy customization and compliance monitoring.

New “Open in Word” action button in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat

Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat will add an “Open in Word” button by late September 2025, allowing users with a Copilot license to transfer AI-generated content directly into Word for editing. The feature is automatic, requires no admin action, and has no impact on existing workflows or compliance.
